Notion is a flexible workspace of docs, wikis and databases that you shape into whatever your team needs. Wizard Application takes the opposite approach: purpose-built modules for projects, time, invoicing, a sales CRM and HR that already work together.
If you are choosing between them, this guide sets out how they compare, where each one is strong, and which kind of team each suits best.
At a glance
| Wizard Application | Notion | |
|---|---|---|
| Docs and wiki | Not a wiki. Documents, templates, e-signatures and a knowledge base instead | The core product, with block-based docs and wikis |
| How it is set up | Purpose-built modules that work together from day one | Flexible databases and templates you build yourself |
| Projects | Sprints, Kanban boards, Gantt charts and time tracking | Boards, timelines and calendars built on databases |
| Sales CRM | A dedicated CRM with pipelines, quotes and invoices | Built from databases and templates |
| Invoicing | Included, raised from tracked time | Not part of Notion |
| HR and hiring | HR and a recruitment ATS included | Built from databases and templates |
Where Notion is strong
Notion is exceptionally flexible. Its docs are clean and fast to write, its wiki keeps knowledge in one place, and its databases can be shaped into almost any tracker. For teams that like to design their own tools, and have the time to maintain them, it is a creative and capable workspace.
Where Wizard Application is different
- Ready-made, not home-made. A CRM, project management, HR and invoicing come built and connected, so there is nothing to design, template or keep in sync.
- Time that becomes invoices. Hours logged against tasks roll into timesheets and then into invoices, which a database cannot do on its own.
- Business documents. Document management handles proposals and contracts, with e-signatures and tracking.
- Honest about the gap. Wizard Application does not include a wiki. If long-form internal documentation matters to you, you may want to keep one alongside it.
- We move you across. Our migration team maps your databases into the right modules, and you check everything on a staging link before you switch.
Which should you choose
Notion may suit you better if docs and a wiki are central to your team, and you enjoy building and maintaining your own systems.
Wizard Application may suit you better if you want a CRM, projects, time, invoicing and HR that work together out of the box, and would rather run the business than build the tools.
Moving from Notion
If you decide to switch, our migration service starts with a free assessment. We map your data, give you a private staging link to check everything, and you keep working in Notion until you are ready, so there is no downtime.
When you are ready to compare the two properly, see our plans or request a free migration assessment.
