HubSpot is one of the best known CRM platforms in the world, and for good reason. Wizard Application also includes a sales CRM, but it sets out to do something different: run the whole business, from the first sale to the finished project, the invoice and the people who deliver it.
If you are choosing between them, this guide sets out how they compare, where each one is strong, and which kind of business each suits best.
At a glance
| Wizard Application | HubSpot | |
|---|---|---|
| Sales CRM | Included, with pipelines, quotes and invoices | Sales Hub, on HubSpot’s Smart CRM |
| Marketing automation | Not our focus | Marketing Hub, one of its core strengths |
| Customer service | Help desk and incident reporting included | Service Hub |
| Projects and delivery | Included, with Kanban boards, Gantt charts and sprints | Not the focus of the platform |
| Time tracking and timesheets | Included, and hours flow into invoices | Not part of the core hubs |
| HR and hiring | HR and a recruitment ATS included | Not part of the platform |
| How it is sold | One platform on one subscription | Separate hubs, each with its own tiers |
Where HubSpot is strong
HubSpot is built around the front office. Its Marketing, Sales, Service and Content hubs share one CRM, so marketing campaigns, sales pipelines and service tickets all sit on the same customer record. For businesses where winning and nurturing customers is most of the work, especially those that rely on inbound marketing, that depth is hard to match.
Where Wizard Application is different
- From sale to delivery. A won deal in the sales CRM becomes a project, the project is tracked and timed, and the time becomes an invoice. HubSpot stops at the customer; Wizard Application carries on through the work.
- Time tracking and invoicing built in. Time tracking runs on the same tasks your team delivers, so billing uses the hours actually worked.
- People as well as customers. HR and a recruitment ATS live in the same workspace, so hiring and onboarding sit next to the work.
- One subscription. Rather than adding hubs and tiers as you grow, you get the whole platform on one plan.
- We move you across. Our migration team maps your contacts, companies and deals into Wizard Application, and you check everything on a staging link before you switch.
Which should you choose
HubSpot may suit you better if marketing is central to how you grow, you need advanced marketing automation, and your project delivery, billing and HR already run well in other systems.
Wizard Application may suit you better if you sell work that your team then delivers, and you want the customer, the project, the hours and the invoice in one place instead of spread across a CRM and several other tools.
Moving from HubSpot
If you decide to switch, our guide to switching from HubSpot to Wizard Application covers how to export your records, how contacts, companies and deals map across, and what our migration team handles for you.
