Adobe Acrobat is the standard for working with PDFs. It edits the text and images inside a PDF, converts to and from Office formats, collects signatures from other people and, on Pro, adds redaction and OCR for scanned documents. The PDF editor in Wizard Application Studio Editors does a smaller set of jobs: it puts documents together, signs them and files them against the candidate, job or company they belong to, and it is included on every plan.
If you are deciding whether you need Acrobat or whether the Studio PDF editor covers it, this guide sets out the differences honestly.

Where Adobe Acrobat is strong
- Real PDF editing. Acrobat changes the text and images already in a PDF, which the Studio PDF editor does not do.
- Signatures from other people. You can send a document for signature and track who has signed.
- Scans, redaction and comparison. Pro adds OCR for scanned documents, redaction for sensitive information and comparing two versions.
- Conversion. Acrobat converts to and from Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Where Wizard Application is different
- Documents filed where they belong. Save the finished PDF straight to the candidate, job or company it is about, or to your media library, instead of a downloads folder.
- Put packs together quickly. Combine PDFs and images, such as a CV, references and a signed offer, into one document in the right order.
- Sign your own documents. Add a drawn, typed or uploaded signature and it is stamped into the exported PDF.
- Included, not another licence. The PDF editor is part of every plan, alongside decks, images, your CRM, projects, recruitment and HR.
Which should you choose
Adobe Acrobat may suit you better if you edit the content of PDFs, convert Office files, need other people to sign, or handle scans and sensitive documents that need OCR or redaction.
Wizard Application may suit you better if you mainly assemble, sign and file documents that belong to candidates, jobs and companies already in your workspace, and do not want a separate PDF licence for that.
When you are ready to try it with your own figures, create your free workspace, see everything on the Studio Editors page or compare plans.
