Acuity Scheduling, part of Squarespace, is built for businesses that sell appointments: clients book and pay online, fill in intake forms and get email and text reminders, and you can sell packages, memberships and gift certificates. Wizard Application Calendar Bookings is part of a wider workspace: booking pages with services and prices that drop straight into the calendar where your customers, projects and invoices already live, included on every plan.
If you are deciding between them, this guide sets out how they compare, where each one is strong, and which kind of business each suits best.

Where Acuity Scheduling is strong
- More ways to pay. Clients can pay in full or leave a deposit through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo, and leave a tip.
- Packages, memberships and gift certificates. Standard and Premium can sell bundles of sessions, memberships with automatic billing and gift certificates.
- Intake forms and reminders. Custom forms collect client details before the appointment, with email reminders on every plan and text reminders from Standard.
- Classes and group events. Acuity can book classes, workshops and group sessions as well as one-to-one appointments.
Where Wizard Application is different
- Bookings that are part of your business. Leads and customers who book are linked to their record in Sales, candidates can book a first chat during recruitment, and bookings sit in the same calendar as your interviews, meetings and site visits.
- Orders and invoices from the booking. Raise an order or invoice straight from an appointment. The service, date, time and address go on the line, the price and tax come from the service, and every order and invoice links back to its booking.
- Paid bookings that land in your accounts. When a page takes payment, the invoice is made and paid as the person books, so the money sits with that customer's other invoices instead of in a separate tool.
- Visits to the customer. For trades and call-out work, the booking form asks for the address, no video call is made and each booking goes in your calendar as a site visit.
- Forms that route to the right page. A form can send people on to the booking page their answers pick, with their details filled in and the booking linked to the lead the form created.
- Invites by name. Send a customer, lead or candidate a personal link with their details filled in, and see which invites have been booked and which are still waiting.
- Included, not another subscription. Calendar Bookings is part of every plan, including the free Starter plan, alongside your CRM, projects, HR, help desk and invoicing.
Which should you choose
Acuity Scheduling may suit you better if you sell packages, memberships or gift certificates, run classes and group sessions, or want text reminders.
Wizard Application may suit you better if you want each booking linked to the customer or lead, invoiced from the booking and kept next to your projects, sales and support, without paying for a separate scheduling tool.
When you are ready to try it, create your free workspace, see everything on the Calendar Bookings page or compare plans.
